Lecture: Ethical Issues of Academic Publishing

18th June 2024 || 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. || University Main Building, Universitätsplatz 1, 18055 Rostock, room 113

Ethical concerns in academic publishing encompass issues such as proper authorship credit, transparent peer review, combating plagiarism, and ensuring integrity in data reporting. The push for open access, while promoting knowledge sharing, faces challenges from predatory publishers. This seminar explores the ethical issues of academic publishing and scientific misconduct, tailored primarily for early-career scholars across different disciplines, including medicine, informatics, and humanities.
